Olivier J. Araki is a Swiss qualified lawyer admitted to the Swiss Bar since 2005. He holds a Master Degree in Law graduated from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland and Universidad de Salamanca, Spain (with special mentions “European Law”/”Bilingual”). Olivier J. Araki gained his legal experience as a court clerk in a district court of Zürich (2001-2003), as associate in a boutique law firm in Zürich (2003-2005) and as legal advisor of a financial services company (2005-2008). Olivier J. Araki joined an international law firm in Tokyo, Japan, where he practised as legal consultant advising international clients on a wide range of commercial matters (2008-2011). He practised as associate attorney-at-law with a mid-sized law firm in Zürich (2011-2014) before founding Araki Legal in 2014.
Olivier J. Araki is member of several professional associations, including the Zürich Bar Association, the Swiss Bar Association, the Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce and the Self-regulatory organisation SRO SAV/SNV.
Olivier J. Araki advises foreign and Japanese clients in international commercial matters, in particular foreign investments in, and trade with, Switzerland and Japan. His focus lies primarily on corporate/commercial law and taxation/double tax treaties. Olivier J. Araki also advises private clients in matters related with private banking and wealth management.
